happy Monday! can you believe I haven't had coffee yet and I'm SMILING!!! who would have thunk it to be possible.
This weekend was such a happy blur of music, my favorite shows and terrariums!
Ever since I saw Ann Wood's terrariums I have been obsessed with making my own. This weekend Adam and I went thrift store shopping for sweaters (to make sweater dresses! well, for me anyway) and happened upon some amazing terrarium canisters.

this was my first attempt. Everything in it came from Adam's yard on Saturday.

Sunday Adam and I went around my neighborhood and collected moss and lichens for some more terrariums, these two are probably my favorites!

Here's Adam's terrarium.
I only hope they stay alive. They were so fun to make and I want to see them grow and change, but collecting all the moss and rocks and lichen was so much fun it wouldn't be a tragedy to have to do it again :)
If you want to be inspired there are some amazing terrariums that Hello Yarn made or you could also check out the flicker terrarium group.
Other than prowling my hood for lichen I also played a show with Paper Brain at Backspace on Saturday. I wont go into the details, but I will say that bands who organize shows should know how a show works. You know...the unspoken rules and etiquette.
I also did a lot of reading. Did I say a lot? I meant more than a lot. I didn't realize I was capable of reading so much in so little time. Amazing what we can do when we have to!
